Why this site is here and how it came to be: Hm.
I do like to bridge the fandoms together; and will need a better think on
why the whole place exists. ^^;
I do keep sitely info here. InuYasha takes place in a land of legend and daemons. It does mix with elements from other things I've enjoyed. I liken to time travel [Back to the Future, The Time Machine movies] which occurs throughout InuYasha. Decent action, character development, and a touch of romance attract me [The Vision of Escaflowne anime]. I love omniponent powers [Crayak and the Ellimist from Animorph books] which fits with Naraku. They control people and you wonder what their game is... I've loved Rumiko's work [Mermaid's Saga, Ranma½, Rumic World...] I occasionally read the manga [EarTweak] yet focus the site on the anime. ^_^ --------------- This site came to be soon after seeing episode 1 on Canadian TV. I loved the intro so much that I watched episode 2 [aired an hour a week; back-to-back] and soon I had to make an InuYasha site to express my love of the series. There already were a great wealth of information sites, however, so there were no plans for series information other than linking out to such sites. Still, I wanted to create something of my own. I'd always do something like this when I loved something, from learning how to draw Sailormoon by memorizing a drawing I'd trace a long time [can't do this anymore], to paper Senshi dolls [my parents would never buy me a doll; dolls only came as gifts from others], to Card Captor Sakura's star key necklace and my first anime site, CCSakura. I didn't want a site lashing out with spoilers, so kept to something simple that would benefit first-time watchers; people really new to the series. It would theorize on the InuYasha legend and keep to character personalities and development. In short, it moved on from Card Captor Sakura Souplets to InuYasha Souplets. I loved reading Kestrel's CCS vs CC, wanted to expand in my own, and that's why the Souplets began. Well, the InuYasha one grew to contain a gallery. The CCSakura site faded out with two souplets; there was so much to write and expand on with InuYasha. Souplets do take work- I screencap each picture in the Souplets; and add a faded logo. While writing, I read the manga, watch the dub and sub, pause the dvd and write, clip a picture, resize, and save, and go back over and over for it to flow well. The current gallery for characters is also capped, resized, and, um, 'logoized' with that faint watermark. This happens to each picture and does take time. It takes hours to make each QuickPix and Scroll. While going through, I do clip pictures for the Character gallery. Eventually there's enough for more additions. ^_^ A nifty feature of the gallery is that watermarks can be added to uploaded images- and even be automatically taken off! :O It also can set the resolution. On the whole site, I have to check all the images and links from time to time to make sure they're all alive. This also includes everyone I'm linking out to; I note when they're down. :3 I'm happy and it keeps me occupied. ^-^ The older versions of the site can be found here. <-Site front |
